If you want to find out about a certain job then, you first of all should look online to find a professional email or you could email the company itself.
Here at the bottom i did one, asking Eddie Tycer(http://www.ed-fx.co.uk/index.html) about being a prop maker.
In my opinion emailing is much handy, as there is no time limit. Along for those people who find it hard to talk to on the phone, they would be able to contact the person this way in confidence. As they would not need to talk to someone face to face or through phone. But the down side is that you do not know when the person will reply or if they would reply.
